UNION EXECUTIVE
The President and Vice President
The President Of India
Elected by indirect election by an electoral college consisting of the elected members of both houses of parliament. and elected members of legislative assemblies of state and
Union territories.

Qualification for election as President.
A citizen of India.
35 Years of age.
Be qualified for election as a member of the house of people.
Must not hold any office of profit under Govt of India  or Govt of State or any local or other authority subject to the control of any of the said Govt.

Term-Five years.

Will terminate before 5 years in the following conditions.
Resignation (Addressed to Vice President)
Removal by process of impeachment. (Only for violation of Constitution).

Procedure of Impeachment.
Either house may charge the violation of Constitution before the other house which shall investigate the charge or cause the charge to be investigated.
i)The resolution can be moved by written notice (after notice period of 14 days)
signed by not less than 1/4 th of the total number of members of that house.
ii)The resolution is then passed by a majority of 2/3rd of the total membership of the house.
*If the resolution is passed his term will cease from the date on which the resolution is passed.
Vacancy in the office of President can be caused due to
i)Death of President.
ii)By resignation.
iii)Removal by impeachment.
iv)By the setting aside of new Presidential election.
v)Or temporary vacancy due to his absence from India or due to illness or any other cause.
*In case the vacancy is going to arise due to the expiry of term an election should be held to fill the vacancy before the expiry of the term. By any reason if it got delayed after the expiry of term the outgoing President must hold the office until his successor assumes the office.
*In case the vacancy occurred due to any reason other than the expiry of term an election must be held within 6 months from the date of occurrence of the vacancy. In that case the
Vice President shall act as the President until the New President assumes charge.
